1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Potty Pal mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Potty Pal is a dog activity tracking application that helps users:

• Log and track dog feeding, potty breaks, and other activities
• Receive predictive notifications based on learned patterns
• Share dog care responsibilities with family members
• Access activity history and insights

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use the App, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with access to all premium features. You may cancel at any time during the trial period without being charged.

4.2 Subscription Plans

After the free trial, continued use requires a paid subscription:

• Monthly subscription: $4.99/month
• Annual subscription: $49.99/year

Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice.

4.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled according to Apple's App Store refund policy. We do not directly process refunds.

4.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the App (dog profiles, photos, activity logs, notes). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to provide the service.

5.2 Content Standards

You agree not to upload content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, or offensive
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains viruses or malicious code
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations

5.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App to spam or harass others
• Share your account with others
• Create multiple accounts to exploit free trials

7. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Potty Pal and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The App is free of viruses or other harmful components
• Predictions and notifications will be accurate

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POTTY PAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Potty Pal harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Medical Disclaimer

Potty Pal is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. The App's predictions and recommendations are based on historical data and should not be used as the sole basis for medical decisions. Always consult with a veterinarian for medical concerns about your pet.

12. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
